Is A Two Party System An Equal Opportunity For Rich Classes?

There is no doubt, the rich in the US were not all produced by using the same cookie-cutter.   Each class of the rich leaning towards the left has a counterpart leaning towards the right.  Each of these two political alliances employ their political candidates, whom they well know have a great need for money, to fill their political war-chests.  This then represents a symbiotic relationship kept alive by the self-preservation drive of each involved.  Each member of these alliances performs its obligations to achieve the expected return from the other; it is a perpetual cycle.

Now, one might ask where is all that money coming from that flows bidirectional?  The answer is very simple, the rich extract wealth from consumers by making as big a profit as legally possible for their investments, goods/and or services, while the politicians pave the way to make such outrageous net earnings possible, and legal.

The two party political system makes sure that no faction has their hand in the cookie jar indefinitely, and this is where we, the consumer, come into play.  Every four years we are given the opportunity to choose from which symbiotic alliance we want to be taken advantage of.  If that is not democracy in action, what is?

Under the Reagan years we heard a lot about trickle-down economics by his critics, who did not understand entirely that this is the way it works.  In order to get elected, politicians spend the money (political contributions) received from their benefactors, for advertising, and by promising, during political rallies, the crumbs the voters will get when in office.  It is a very frugal way to spend money because most promises are not kept anyway.  When one watches gluttons at dinner table, there are times when crumbs  hit the floor, and this is the time for the peasants to get their dinner.  This is the classical definition of trickle-down economics.  Get it?

It almost appears, our votes kind of legalize this unjust wealth extraction, at our expense.  On the good-side, during each election cycle we are entertained with political drama and accusation flying back and forth, keeping us occupied, and thus preventing us observing the sleight of the political hand at work.  To fully understand this issue better, let us look at two historical charts, which are self-explanatory.  The moral of the story is, "The rich get richer and the poor get..."

 Total Cumulative Inflation

 Real Mean Incomes

Again, pass it on, start a conversation with people you know and care about.  We need to spend less time watching what is fed to use via the media, and engage more in a dialog with people around us.  Politicians depend on us being dumb fat and happy; let us show them that we are not, by voicing our concerns.

To Eat, Or Not To Eat Is The Question For Many Of Us

We, in the US, are the most abused people when it comes to the life saving drugs like Insulin many of us depend on to stay alive.  People without insurance pay on average $1,000 per month, needless to say, some pay much more; it is really a form of gross extortion.

Refer to the BBC article, the link to which is shown below.
"In 1923, the discoverers of insulin sold its patent for $1, hoping the low price would keep the essential treatment available to everyone who needed it.

Now, retail prices in the US are around the $300 range for all insulins from the three major brands that control the market.
Even accounting for inflation, that's a price increase of over 1,000%.
Stories of Americans rationing insulin - and dying for it - have been making national headlines."

It may have made the news once, and then was dropped like a hot potato.  I, a news junkie, do not recall ever hearing of it.  Moreover, I am under the impression the BBC reports News, and not stories from the archives of other media outlets, hence, they just discovered these facts as well; that is my assumption.  When people have to forego essential nutrition in order to afford their lifesaving drugs, or take less of the required dosage, so that they can eat, it is alarming by any standard.

Do you remember when being a Millionaire was a big deal, now you have to be a Billionaire to get attention, so it seems?  Everything appears to increase, for the wealthy, by a factor of 1000, except the average working stiff is mostly flat-lined, as far as wages are concerned, when considering inflation.  Is this a just society?  I think not.  Where is this exaggerated wealth coming from?  It comes from unjust wealth extraction from the rest of; criminally inflated drug prices is just one example.

The following chart, shown below, makes this very point.

Graph showing average cost for a diabetic (insulin and other supplies) per month in Italy ($19), UK ($65), Japan ($70), India ($112) and US ($360)

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-47491964

When the US is compared to other countries on topics like education, and healthcare for all, etc., we don't look so good.  However, when one compares the costs for healthcare, we certainly are on the top of the list, as he most expensive.  We, in the US, are legends in our own mind when we exclaim that we are the best/the greatest country in the world; whom are we kidding?  Our Government and the businesses who donate large sums of money for their election war-chests, in return for letting them bleed the public to dead, are nothing but antisocial characters, more like sociopaths who probably never miss a Sunday in church.  Hypocrites, one can add to the list, that is all they are.

Where is the Press in all of this ongoing, drug related health crisis?  They think by slamming the President daily, they are doing their job.  It appears, their job is to keep us occupied with their tabloid stories, so that we have no time to pay attention to the real needs of people around us.  After all, these national news media outlets are owned by a few, who are part of the social problem, and their employees better write their stories not to piss-off the boss.

Some doctors are no help either, a case in point is a personal experience my wife had, just a short while ago; she needed eye drops to lower the eye pressure.  The Ophthalmologist prescribed a proprietary drug that even with insurance was still over $30 per month; they tried to convince her that there were no other choices.  When I did a little research I found that the generic drug Latanoprost was not only less expensive but was more easily taken by patients, which  my wife confirmed.  Now instead of $30 per month she spends only $5 for three months supply.

Let us not just shake our heads, and forget about it, let us start a conversation with others, and if enough people care, maybe we can make some noise that those politicians cannot afford to ignore, especially during election time.

Pass this, and other stories like it, to people you care about, to get the conversation started.

Always Err On The Side Of Caution

Yes, when in doubt one should always try to err on the side of caution.  Major countries all over the world decided to do just that, and grounded the Boeing 737 MAX, but the US FAA prefers to err on the side of risk, by still permitting this plane to be in the sky.  This presents a risk not only to the passengers and crew onboard, but also to civilians on the ground, should a plane crash into a populated area.  We had two crashes of this type of aircraft killing many people, the last two months, but the FAA and airlines operating this type of plane are willing to risk the lives of their customers, and possibly other on the ground.  Why?  Surely these gamblers will not fly any of these planes; actually, we should force them to fly these birds, to show their confidence in their decision.

Apparently, Boeing is tinkering with an anti-stall algorithm for this plane, and from what I have experienced with other, so called, software improvements, they seldom are.  Perhaps, instead of preventing a stall, it may be causing a stall.

We, as a country, clearly show that human life takes second place after the dollar.  Shame on us!

Well, This Is Very Embarrasing, To Say the Least

First, thank you Dr. John for bringing this story to my attention.

It appears, some well-known  'Russian Pranksters' organized a conference call with  Elliot Abrams, US special envoy for Venezuela, a man with a long history and experience with trying to topple foreign Governments, not always successful, one might add.

The following quotes were taken from https://sputniknews.com/latam/201903061073002069-abrams-full-interview-audio/

"Vovan and Lexus, Russian telephone pranksters known for their trolling of politicians from around the world, have struck again, targeting US special representative for Venezuela Elliott Abrams to find out more about the US-backed effort to unseat that country's legitimate government. Sputnik got ahold of the full audio from the talks."

"Posing as Swiss President Ueli Maurer, who also serves as the country's finance minister, the pranksters contacted Abrams on two occasions – in mid-February and early March, speaking to him for over 23 minutes about Swiss policy on the ongoing effort to freeze the Venezuelan government's assets as part of broader plans to replace President Nicolas Maduro with US-backed opposition leader Juan Guaido."

When following the above link you will get a good deal of background information, enabling you to better understand the recorded telephone call; needless to say, there probably will be denial that this phone call ever happened.  Please follow the link, to the recording, below.

https://soundcloud.com/radiosputnik/russian-pranksters-call-us-special-representative-for-venezuela-elliot-abrams

The moral of the story is, being a country with super large oil deposits is not always a good thing.

It is perplexing that a major country, which professes to spread democracy around the world, is actually bent on destroying a Government that just recently was elected by its people?  One could infer that free elections are the sign of a democratic society, exercising their free will.  What else could it be?  The fact that Mr. Juan Guaido is still alive confirms that Nicolas Maduro is not a dictator, were it not so Guaido would be in prison, or in an unmarked grave.

What is not surprising is that highly paid and influential people are stupid enough to fall for pranks like this one, and others, again and again.  It just shows that we are governed by not necessarily intelligent people, just by people whose ego, greed and lust for power places them into high positions that normal intelligent, and honest individuals would not want to occupy, at any price.

Trump said it best during a 'hot mic.' incident: when you rich you get away with anything.

How Can One Violate An Illegal/Unconstitutional Law?

The Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution affords us the right to privacy and protection against unlawful searches.

The Fourth Amendment says:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

The Courts have long held that this amendment includes the right to privacy.  See ACLU v. Clapper below.

Is it not our 'Patriotic Duty' to report wrongdoing no matter who the culprit is?  The Second Circuit in ACLU v. Clapper held that the action by the NSA, in reference to their data collection, was illegal. See reference below.

"Another aspect of the Patriot Act, which has been highly confidential was the Telephone Metadata program, which under § 215 of the Patriot Act, had allowed the NSA to collect data about Americans’ telephone calls in bulk, was reviewed by the Second Circuit in ACLU v. Clapper, in which the court held the Telephone Metadata program illegal under the Congress’ original intent under the §215."

Edward Snowden is charged by the US Government with:
"18 U.STCT 641 Theft of Government Property
18 U.S.C. ?93(d) Unauthorized Communication of National Defense information
18 U.S.C. 798(a)(3) Willful Communication of Classified Communications to an Unauthorized Person."
Ref. https://apps.washingtonpost.com/g/documents/world/us-vs-edward-j-snowden-criminal-complaint/496/

In this following video Esward Snowden explains his reasons for speaking out,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loLSdh26V5I

It appears to me that the only reason why Edward Snowden is in trouble with the Government is that it does not respect our Constitution, if it were not so, this illegal collection of our data would have never been carried out, at great monetary expense to all taxpayers, who paid for the elaborate, expensive NSA installations.

We are told that the Government has no money to help the poor, provide free coverage for healthcare, and education, etc. but, apparently, we have plenty of taxpayer monies to spy on citizens, and send them to their death in very, very costly wars in foreign lands.  Moreover, our politicians generally agree that our infrastructure is crumbling and is outdated but none direct their attention  to this problem either.  Their attention is on overturning foreign Governments, like Venezuela at present, by supplying goods of all kinds, to support these power plays.  They do not see the many needs right at home in our country, where people live on the streets, hungry, cold, and sick.

5G Health Warning

Thanks to Dr. John I received the following link to an article that could open your eyes and save you from grieve.  I am not an expert in this field, therefore I will not comment on the subject.  I know only one thing owning a smart phone is not that smart because it is a tool designed to invade your privacy.  Invading our privacy is bad enough but screwing up our health is definitely not acceptable.  Apparently, this can affect all of us phone or no phone; it will be in the environment.  I think, it may be time to pass this around to all you know, and be part of the effort to stop this nonsense.  I am doing my part.

https://truepublica.org.uk/global/what-you-dont-know-about-5g-but-will-find-out-when-its-too-late/

I don't know about you, I am alarmed, and after reading the article, you may be too.

The First Amendment Ignored Again And Again By Ignorance Or Design

While I do not necessarily agree with the veiled wording Omar chose to express herself, I for one respect her constitutional right to free speech.  I am more for the direct approach, leaving little doubt about my message.

ABS News: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/house-democratic-leaders-call-omar-apologize-anti-semitic/story?id=60992550

PHOTO: Representative Ilhan Omar, Democrat of Minnesota, speaks during a press conference calling on Congress to cut funding for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and to defund border detention facilities, outside the US Capitol, Feb. 7, 2019.

"Omar apologizes after Democratic leaders criticize her 'anti-Semitic comments'

Both Republicans and Democrats have criticized the Muslim member of Congress." ABS News

Here are the posts by Omar that got many bent out of shape:

  "It's all about the Benjamins baby ?? https://t.co/KatcXJnZLV Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) February 10, 2019"

Funny, another Congress Woman called the President of the U.S. a "Mother F***ker", Pelosi had no problems with it, at that time, but hint at criticizing Israel/Jews for any reason, perhaps including the inhuman treatment of the Palestinians, and the whole world is about to blowup.  According to many old guard politicians, Omar committed a cardinal sin by showing us, the Peasants, what it means to express our criticism, by speaking freely when criticizing the Jewish state, under the protection of the first amendment.  How can the old guard keep on controlling the  narrative, when this freshman member of Congress dares to break rank.  She had to be whipped into shape to ensure the control of the peasants continues.  Too bad Omar did not stand her ground; there was nothing to apologize for, her speech was and is protected, no matter what Pelosi and others think.  This is why nothing will ever change in the Congress, fresh voices are at once  muzzled, for the common good of the Congress; certainly not for the good of the people.

Antisemitism deals with instances where the right of Semitic people to exist is brought into question, or as the Jewish state likes to think, "The word antisemitism means prejudice against or hatred of Jews" exclusively.
https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/antisemitism
Just like Holocaust so has Antisemitism been hijacked by the Jewish state, for their exclusive use only, to squelch any criticism by anybody; they no longer are obligated to explain their inhuman actions against other peoples, all the have to do is yell Holocaust or Antisemitism, to end all discussions, and they win.

Semite speakers of East Semitic include the Akkadians and the descended cultures of Assyria and Babylonia. Central Semitic combines Northwest Semitic and Arabic. Speakers of Northwest Semitic were the Canaanites (including the Phoenicians, the Hebrews, and the Aramaeans).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Semitic-speaking_peoples

Under this new and narrow Jewish definition even God would be classified as an antisemite; did he not send the Jews into exile several times and let them wander for 40 years in the desert, denying them to enter the land of the Canaanites?  Did not God and the prophets call them a stiff-necked people (Exodus 32:9; 33:3; Deuteronomy 9:6; 2 Chronicles 36:13; Jeremiah 17:23, etc.)?

None of the posts, shown above, by Omar, rose to this level, so why drop another antisemite bomb, just to express displeasure when somebody hints at calling out the Jewish state for their 'Human Rights' violations, perhaps.

The first amendment is simple enough to understand, so what is their problem?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

We have been given the right to speak freely, and none have the right to abridge our speech, not even Pelosi and like-minded individuals.  So, why is it that people are forced to apologize for exercising their constitutional right?  Are we a constitutional democracy or not?  So far, I have found nothing in the Constitution that gives Jews or Israel special privileges or rights that are uniquely for their benefit.

Last year, "Israel's parliament has passed a controversial law characterizing the country as principally a Jewish state, fueling anger among its Arab minority."
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-44881554

In doing so, this Jewish state has successfully marginalized all of its minority Arab population.  If we would like to call out antisemitic states, we must include the Jewish State,  which has for the longest time refused to acknowledge the right of the Palestinians to exist as a free  Palestinian nation.

I say enough with these false Antisemitic claims, for the sake of making political points, squelch just criticism or prevent fresh voices from being heard.

Inactivity May Be The Kiss Of Death

office movements illustration

The Guardian article, forwarded to me by Dr. John, referred to below is very much on point because it reminds us of a fact that we all know, namely, exercise is good for us.  From my own experience I observed that my pumping (systolic) pressure usually drops 20+ mmHg, after a one-hour walk.  Our mostly sedentary lifestyle, associated with office work, and similar, creates a variety of problems, it appears. Doctors have always urged us to exercise, only to end up prescribing some medication for whatever ails us because we refused to listen.

I don't know about you but I will read through the article and incorporate what makes sense, and what I can do, considering my physical capabilities.  If you value good health, it is time to do something about it; let us surprise our doctor at our next visit.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/feb/06/exercise-health-move-all-day-standing-desk

We can do this, at least some of it.

Is The First Amendment Under Attack?

More than the First Amendment is under attack, our very right to privacy is no longer guaranteed. I was writing my blog posting (not yet published), which included YouTube links associated with 9/11, and while I was finishing my work of several days (a long post), suddenly and without warning all of my work disappeared, and is no longer on the blogger.com server. Just like the Twin Towers my work pulverized, which tells me that the censorship is already active, and my freedom of speech and right to privacy has been violated, in one swoop. This vanished post was not yet published, but was on their server, so it is very clear, their algorithm is now setup to yank anything that could point the finger at the perhaps guilty.

I will try with an email to provide these links to you, for I think it is very important to present both sides of the argument, about 9/11.

What Exactly Is Anti-Semitism?

This blog post was inspired by The New York Times' article referred to near the end of this post.

Here is an article explaining anti-semitism. "Written By:Michael Berenbaum
Anti-Semitism, hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group. The term anti-Semitism was coined in 1879 by the German agitator Wilhelm Marr to designate the anti-Jewish campaigns under way in central Europe at that time. Although the term now has wide currency, it is a misnomer, since it implies a discrimination against all Semites. Arabs and other peoples are also Semites, and yet they are not the targets of anti-Semitism as it is usually understood. The term is especially inappropriate as a label for the anti-Jewish prejudices, statements, or actions of Arabs or other Semites. Nazi anti-Semitism, which culminated in the Holocaust, had a racist dimension in that it targeted Jews because of their supposed biological characteristics—even those who had themselves converted to other religions or whose parents were converts. This variety of anti-Jewish racism dates only to the emergence of so-called “scientific racism” in the 19th century and is different in nature from earlier anti-Jewish prejudices."
His bio can be found at  https://www.britannica.com/contributor/Michael-Berenbaum/4530

I disagree with part of above, namely, "Nazi anti-Semitism, which culminated in the Holocaust, had a racist dimension in that it targeted Jews because of their supposed biological characteristics--"
I would have preferred to read ...it targeted Jews, and others because of their ..."   As I stated in another blog post, the Holocaust does not belong to the Jews alone; many more millions other than Jews were killed as well.

As shown above, like 'Holocaust' so is 'Antisemitism' misused, both are not the sole property of the Zionists, who throw these terms around to squelch any just criticism of their inhuman actions against the Palestinian people.

Definitions provided by: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/
Hostility:  "deep-seated usually mutual ill will"
Discrimination:  "prejudiced or prejudicial outlook, action, or treatment racial discrimination"

It is evident that to be critical of the State of Israel is not a form of discrimination, nor is it antisemitic, as is always claimed by the Zionists.  If it were not so, the State of Israel would be, by default, above international laws, laws that they ignore at present anyway with impunity.  No wonder that this state thinks and acts as if it is their God given right to add other peoples land to theirs, at will.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/Zionism
"Zionism, Jewish nationalist movement that has had as its goal the creation and support of a Jewish national state in Palestine, the ancient homeland of the Jews (Hebrew: Eretz Yisraʾel, “the Land of Israel”). Though Zionism originated in eastern and central Europe in the latter part of the 19th century, it is in many ways a continuation of the ancient attachment of the Jews and of the Jewish religion to the historical region of Palestine, where one of the hills of ancient Jerusalem was called Zion."

A decription of Palestine can be found at, https://www.britannica.com/place/Palestine

Here is an interesting article by Michelle Alexander,

Time to Break the Silence on Palestine

published by The New York Times Jan. 19, 2019; it took true courage to write such an article because 'antisemitic bombs'  will surely be employed to discredit not only the writer but also the message.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/19/opinion/sunday/martin-luther-king-palestine-israel.html

Now let us take a look at the ancient map, shown below, and a modus operandi becomes evident.

Palestine during the Maccabean period.

 https://www.britannica.com/media/full/topic/439645/3079

When looking at the map closely, it becomes clear that the Jewish nation has a history of adding other peoples' land to the original Jewish state under Judas, and trying to eventually take all of the land from the Palestinians, settlement by settlement, appears to be nothing more than the same.

Blood Pressure Guidelines Follow The Example Of The Cholesterol Guidelines - Lowering Normal Ranges Spells More Money

I just learned (better late than never) that the new US guidelines (Nov. 2017) regarding blood pressure have been amended to add about 30,000,000 more patients that will be prompted to take medication, they probably really don't need.  Not too long ago, per the medical wisdom, one had first stage high blood pressure only when 140/90 were exceeded; now it is after 130/80.  Before we had about one in three with first stage hypertension, now it works out to roughly one in two.  What a business model!

In view of these ever-changing of medical goal posts, likely for business reasons, it is very important that we, the patients, assume more responsibility for our own health.  Doctors are trying to do their best with the 'Pharma' provided opinions/instructions, and their often published fake test results.  But nothing stops us using common sense, and work with our doctor, to prevent damage to our health. I found a number of doctors who listened to their patients (like me), and were quite reasonable regarding objections.

I am showing the German text only to defend myself against any future claim by others, namely, that I am completely nuts for writing this, what looks like to be a ridiculous story.  It appears, the Germans will most likely not follow these new US guidelines, it says; time will tell.

"Aktuelle Diskussion um Grenzwerte (taken from https://www.onmeda.de/blutdruck.html)

What A Mother? ... What A Member Of Congress?

W460

"At an event following her [Rashida Tlaib] swearing-in Thursday, Tlaib told a cheering crowd of supporters: "People love you. And you win."
"And when your son looks at you and says, 'Momma, look you won, bullies don't win.' And I said, 'Baby, they don't,' because we're gonna go in there and we're gonna impeach the motherfucker.""  Name added.

Above, and photo, were taken from www.naharnet.com/stories/en/254770-democratic-lawmaker-makes-profanity-laced-vow-to-impeach-trump.

I understand that in the heat of an argument nasty words can be uttered but in a normal conversation with a child, it is another matter.  Moreover, this woman uses foul language in public, when speaking of the President of the United States; it was a vulgar expression at best, and yes it was protected by the First Amendment.  However, this member of Congress clearly showed, what she is made of; I would not touch it.

More and more, I come to the conclusion that our political system is made up of two gangs, each fighting for control of the turf, for maximum personal gain, and for paying back those interested parties who sponsored them to run for office, under the pretext of working for the common people.

This latest circus called 'Border Wall' clearly demonstrates that our members of Congress and the Administration don't give a damn about the people, people who through no fault of their own, are unable the feed their families and pay the rent or mortgage because of the partial Government closure.  Egos and turf war are the priorities of these gangs; if it were not so, they would compromise for the good of the people.  No such luck I guess.

Why Take Statins ... ?

Why starve your heart muscle?  Statins not only reduce Cholesterol but they also reduce CoQ10, the very thing that helps your heart keep going.

My history shown here, is only a preamble to the stories and knowledge presented in the videos referred to at the end.  However, there is nothing like actual experience to make a point.

Very early on, over 20 years ago, I had resisted taking Statin medication; my total Cholesterol, at the time, was 257 (normal was 225 then), and my doctor was very persistent, to the point that finally I had to fire him.  Per his opinion, I was not respecting his professional advice.  His own nurse told me, at the time, find yourself another doctor, which I did.  My new doctor while also pushing Statins, was more subtle about it, and respected my refusal, without feeling insulted by it.

For a while, my total Cholesterol numbers fluctuated between 199 and 232; my calculated LDL numbers ranged from 128 to 163.  What  enforced my stand against Statins, was the fact that my  HDL ratio numbers were normal, and that was good.  At the same time, I decided that with the help of my wife, I could improve my overall health by making some permanent changes to my diet.  Today, I no longer eat Beef, avoid manufactured oils of any kind, increased consumption of virgin cold-pressed Olive oil, and introduced natural oils like Coconut and Avocado oils.  Coconut oil was very much maligned by the oil industries in order to sell their unhealthy products, loaded with omega 6 fatty acids, when in reality we should be consuming more Omega 3 essential fatty acids.  Also, for the last few years we have reduced the amount of gluten we consume, and now eat only organic vegetables, fish and fowl.

Last August my total Cholesterol number was 173, my calculated LDL was 109, and my Triglycerides number was  58 (less than 150 is normal), and that all without taking any Statins.  From my own research I learned that had I taken Statins all these years, I would be, at best, probably in bad shape, and in the worse case would push Daisy flowers from 6 feet under.  I share my story with you to make you better understand what good doctors are trying to tell us about the dangers of these drugs.

If you (or a loved one) take Statins, and truly want to live a healthier and longer life you owe it to yourself to watch or share the videos, by following the links, in order, shown below.  These videos may appear, at first, similar but they are not, so please watch them both to the end, for maximum knowledge.

The following was taken from the first link shown below.

"Film Synopsis:
We are told that cholesterol is a major cause of heart disease. At least 40 million people are currently taking cholesterol-lowering medications, known as statins, and millions more people are avoiding foods that contain saturated fat and cholesterol.
The basic idea is that dietary saturated fat raises cholesterol levels, and these two substances somehow clog-up our arteries, causing a heart attack. This idea is often referred to as the diet-heart hypothesis.
However, a numbers of doctors and researchers have been challenging this hypothesis for decades, and the latest heart disease statistics reveal some alarming facts. Such as:
● People with high cholesterol tend to live longer
● People with heart disease tend to have low levels of cholesterol
● Cholesterol-lowering of a population does not reduce the rate of heart disease
In addition, despite their widespread use, and description as “wonder drugs” statin medications do not extend life for the majority of people who take them.
Cholesterol-lowering has become a huge global industry, generating at least $29 billion each year. Have the facts about heart disease, cholesterol and cholesterol medications been distorted by pharmaceutical companies  and food manufacturers keen to increase their profits?
If the focus on cholesterol has been a mistake, then the greatest cost is associated with the lost opportunity to tackle heart disease."

Nothing Sells Better Than B. S.

Again and again we find out that some celebrated reporters were producing fake news, to what end is often a mystery.  In the case at hand, Claas Relotius was working for the well-known German Spiegel (Mirror), and received awards over several years for his fiction news writing, including the German Reporter Award in 2013, 20015, 2016 and 2018, CNN's Journalist of the year in 2014 and the European Press Prize in 2017, as shown in "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claas_Relotius"

BBC's news article shown in "https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46624297" gives more details.

What boggles my mind is that it took so long to expose this fake news architect; it clearly shows that the reading public is easily bamboozled, and only too willing to accept lies as facts, as long as the media of the world presents it as that.  These days, we, the reading public, are conflicted not only by fake news but also by 'Spin Doctors' writing their stories with bias for or against an entity, to please the publisher's political orientation.  One might ask, why bother with the news anyway?  I venture to say, by all means, read and watch as much news you can stomach but be very skeptical.

Who Protects Us From Foreign Agents And Their US Recruits?

Very seldom, these days, do we come across good investigative reporting, for the most part the media of the world have become the mouthpiece of those that have an agenda, which needs to be propagandized, at all costs.  It is therefore very refreshing to find this kind of reporting that is not afraid to ruffle the feathers of a very powerful lobby.  You owe it to yourself to watch these videos shown below, it will be time well spent.

The links shown below (provided to me by Dr. John), when followed, will open your eyes regarding  the effort put forward by agents of a foreign government, to discredit and intimidate US citizens for speaking out against gross injustices inflicted by their country.

The standard method for squelching just outcries for justice is to discredit the messenger and thereby discredit his or her message.  From my own experience I know, this technique is not new, the Nazis used it quite successfully for many years, and surely other rogue nations have used it as well.

What makes these reports/videos, referenced below, so credible is the fact that the culprits are on camera and thus their aims are verbalized by them, eliminating any doubt as to their true intentions.
I  can only imagine what more drastic acts may be carried out when dealing with really major issues; can mayhem be ruled out?

Personally, I have a hard time to accept the veracity of two books emanating from a country,  where God, apparently, had ordered this nation, in one of them,  to destroy innocent lives of men, women, children and beasts, in order take lands which were not theirs.  From my point of view, self-serving spin appears to be the specialty of the people to this day.

September 11 (9/11) Truth - Perhaps

Another anniversary is coming up, and I hope that this time the truth will try to get out of the locked metal box, so to speak.

Candidate Trump on 15 February 2016, now our President, was speaking to an enthusiastic crowd in Bluffton, South Carolina; he promised, at that time, that he would find out, and inform the American people “who really knocked down the World Trade Center.”  There is no guaranty that the President will keep his promise, is not prevented from doing so, or is reading from a script prepared for him by people fearing their exposure.
https://phibetaiota.net/2018/07/memorandums-for-the-president-on-9-11-experts-say-what-the-9-11-commission-was-too-corrupt-to-address/

I for one will not want to miss that speech, should it take place.  I am among the many engineering types, who do not belief, but know that the heat generated by jet-fuel cannot melt steel, as the official story is still trying to convince the nation of this mission impossible.

Our nation has for far too long insisted on being  in a self-induced  coma, from it must sooner or later come out of, if we want to save our already shaky democracy and our civil liberty.  We cannot allow mass murder, for the sake of financial gain, to go unpunished, this is an existential matter.  Just as children have the right to learn in safe schools, so have the workers, the right to work in safe places, without being blown up, just because these structures were condemned and had to come down anyway.  See, quote below and link to website!

"The two most shocking memoranda reveal that the WTC was condemned by 1989 and all parties including the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the Mayor of New York City knew the buildings would have to be brought down at a cost of $2B"
https://phibetaiota.net/2018/07/memorandums-for-the-president-on-9-11-experts-say-what-the-9-11-commission-was-too-corrupt-to-address/

At the towers, it is said 2,606 people were killed, each of them saved somebody $767,459.  Apparently, the new owner, Larry Silverstein, took out an insurance policy just a short time before the towers came down, of course this was just a coincident.

If you are looking for a motif read the article, by Kevin Barrett, to which the link below points.

Hero Or Songbird?

Most ex-military personnel that I have watched on TV, or spoken with are against the idea of  conducting foreign wars for the underlying benefit of material things, like oil, pipe-lines and other commodities.  By definition, these are certainly not existential wars, as far as the U.S. is concerned.  Therefore, I found it strange that a man, who was a prisoner of war (POW), who was supposedly tortured would always advocate for wars in various places around the world.

Today, I came across a video, thanks to Dr. John, about John McCain that can put things into perspective.  Please follow the links below.  Apparently, these recording of John McCain making a prisoner propaganda statement for North Vietnamese radio in 1969 became public due to being misfiled, and were released by accident.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tkBiFZBix0&feature=youtu.be
https://www.google.com/search?q=songbird+mccain+youtube&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1

After I saw the video and listened to the voice recording of John McCain, kissing up to his captors in a big way; the text of which was surely dictated by his jailers.  One would have to consider two alternatives for why McCain gave this performance, 1) he was a Communist sympathizer or 2) there was a man scared to death, willing to do anything to stay alive, even perhaps sell out US positions, etc. The second option is the most likely reason for his compliance.  It is not a far stretch to imagine that a man in this situation and frame of mind was willing to give anything within his power to prevent torture and/or his death.  In any event, this is not the behavior of a hero, this is a behavior of a scared individual, who acted not unlike, perhaps, many of us would in the same situation.

I would venture to say that 99.73% (6 standard deviations under the famous Gaussian-Bell Curve) of us would listen to the message of the survival instinct and act accordingly.  Now, there are 0.27% of us who would not do as McCain did, they would simply not do it for any price, now these are the statistical mavericks, the outliers as Statisticians call them, and these would be the heroes we love to hear and read about.  One thing is for sure McCain was not among these, he was scared to dead, if not the first option mentioned above would apply, which I reject as not being a viable conclusion.

After much public pressure, was in 1991 a bill approved, known as the 'McCain Bill', which made a face-saving effort only; this bill did not provide for the unconditional release of heretofore classified material.  In fact, as is shown below it took a lackluster search for POW and MIA families, and with a fabricated percentage of only 26.8%, as shown below, they decided that families did not give consent for the release of this vital information.

http://lcweb2.loc.gov/frd/pow/pdf/McCain_bill.pdf (Dec. 1991)
This bill contains a lot of verbiage, but it does not address the key issue, namely full disclosure to the public.

"The McCain Bill does not specifically direct declassification. Its pro-release intent does, however, imply such action to make the information available to the public. Compliance with the PNOK's non-consent does limit the Government's ability to release publicly all information containing T-L-C data
that is declassified."
The record shows that 2266 consent request were mailed to families of POWs and MIAs, 366 replied with no consent,   243 did not reply, and  were therefore considered as no consent; that was easy.  Accordingly, the questionable combined percentage was only 26.8 % of the total requests mailed, and this small percentage was used as excuse for not coming clean and provide the information sought by family members and the public at large.  What a charade?

https://fas.org/irp/congress/1993_rpt/pow-exec.html -  Report of the Senate Select Committee.
"Our people, and especially our POW/MIA families, have a right to know all that it is possible to know about the fate of their fellow countrymen and loved ones. This Committee, with strong public support, has pressed both our government and foreign governments to add to that knowledge--through the declassification of documents, response to hard questions, access to archives and eyewitness accounts. A process has been established that will permit timely, in-country investigations of evidence that live Americans remain in captivity. The search for remains and other evidence that could bring certainty to families is ongoing. More people are now employed and working full time on the POW/MIA issue than at any time since the end of the war, almost 20 years ago. America is finally being allowed to do what it should have been able to do long ago."

Doing further research, I learned that the Senator and others had blocked the release of information those families of POWs so desperately screamed for, without success.  Yes, John McCain and others apparently blocked the declassification of information on POWs and MIAs for many many years, information that is still blocked today, information the release of which the  House and other Senators supported.  But apparently the relevant Select Committee voted against the release. The apparent reason given was to protect the privacy of the POWs; protect their privacy from their families?

The following links lead to must read article about McCain.
The article of the link below speaks to the character of McCain; according to sources, he was known for his violent outburst, and his demeaning manner towards others, at times to families of POW or MIA, the very people he should have had great empathy, which apparently he had not.  He seemed more concerned with maintaining his public image of a great patriot, which in his heart he must have known, he was not.  Psychology teaches us that such exaggerated behavior is the typical overcompensation of a weakness perceived by an individual, namely being a coward on the inside.  Other examples of this overcompensation exist, I remember the story of a well known politician, who was very outspoken against homosexuality, only to be discovered of being  a homosexual himself.

Alfred Adler, who coined the phrase 'compensation' said it best.
'If people feel inferior and weak in one area, they try to compensate for it somewhere else.'
In the case at hand, here McCain, apparently, knowing of his own lack of 'Patriotism', while a POW, constantly defends with vigor and aggressiveness against any perceived doubt by others.

The text quoted below speaks volumes, and confirms Adler's theory.

https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/mccain-and-the-pow-cover-up/
https://www.vvof.org/mccain_hides.htm

"One such witness was Dolores Apodaca Alfond, chairwoman of the National Alliance of Families, an all-volunteer MIA organization. Her pilot brother, Capt. Victor J. Apodaca, out of the Air Force Academy, was shot down over Dong Hoi, North Vietnam, in the early evening of June 8, 1967."
"Alfond’s testimony, at a hearing of the POW/MIA committee Nov. 11, 1992, was revealing"

"But McCain, having been advised of Alfond’s testimony, suddenly rushed into the room to confront her. His face angry and his voice very loud, he accused her of making "“allegations … that are patently and totally false and deceptive.”"  Making a fist, he shook his index finger at her and said she had insulted an emissary to Vietnam sent by President Bush. He said she had insulted other MIA families with her remarks.  And then he said, through clenched teeth: “And I am sick and tired of you insulting mine and other people’s [patriotism] who happen to have different views than yours.”

In the final analysis, McCain's father, John S. McCain Jr. was an Admiral and, apparently, history could not stomach the idea that here was an Apple that fell too far from the trunk, therefore history rewrote itself.

When we elevate the wrong people to the position of Hero, we do a disservice to society, and in particular give the wrong impression to our impressionable young generation, which often wants to emulate heroes.  Heroes cannot be linked to human cruelty, deceit, cowardice behavior or acts, etc.

Media At War - Acts Confrontational and Disrespectful

More and more we see evidence that the media, in general, is taking Trump's calculated anti-media comments far too seriously, even personal, to the point that all personnel working with or for the President are fair game and can be treated with disrespect.  They often fail to treat each such a person according to their stature as an individual.  They are not necessarily joined at the hip with Trump and deserve to be treated with courtesy in a non aggressive manner.  Who are these inconsiderate reporters?  Who are these individuals who shout their aggressive questions from afar for a human being after all.  Their mannerism can be likened to a shouting dog owner, who is very unhappy with his pet, for whatever reason.

I selected Kellyanne Conway, to make my point, being the spokesperson for the president, and it seems to me, she is punished by the media for doing her job; the same applies to our press-secretary.  Reporters ask her a question, and then when they don't like where the reply is going, they rudely interrupt and become abusive.  They no longer wait for the person to finish answering but interject themselves in a brute manner.  Like an attorney, she is paid to protect the president and the office of the president of the United States.  What is so difficult in understanding this clear mandate any of the people have working in the administration.  There are polite ways to conduct an interview, why not use them?  Please see one video example below.

Here are a few video examples to make my point.

An example of a more civil video interview.
https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/06/06/kellyanne-conway-newday-intv-sot.cnn/video/playlists/kellyanne-conway/

When somebody asks a question to which the questioner already knows the answer, what is the purpose?  You are right, it is often to publicly embarrass the person questioned.  What does this say about the questioner? The questioner (a reporter, in this case, whose job it is to elicit information) is not trying to gain newsworthy information, but is trying to make a negative point.

I found an article which deals with an interview of Walter Cronkite in the '60s, an Icon in the world of reporting.  Ref.  https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/newswar/interviews/cronkite.html
The following is quoted from the article referenced above.

Back in the '60s Walter Cronkite wrote, "The Nixon administration related to the press was based on a simple formula.  If you could bring down the press's credibility, it might improve his credibility."
.
The interviewer then asked, " What was that like ... when you heard the attack from the Nixon administration?" Cronkite answered as follows.

"Oh, I don't know.  I don't think that it sent any of us crying out of the room exactly.  We expected it.  Very shortly after he began to attack the press, we understood that that was a certain attitude that the man had towards the press,  The fact that he would occasionally make us the target, make me the target was not bothersome.  That's the way he is going to react to almost anything we do.  We're not going to satisfy him, and that wasn't our job to satisfy him.

That's one of the things that must be kept in mind, that we have no obligation to our subjects, particularly political subjects, who are going to use whatever they can get hold of to further their own cause of getting re-elected.  No matter what their job, whether you as a president being re-elected or a congressman or a city councilman, they all work on the same principle.  The principle is that if they feel they're in any way being offended by the press and embarrassed by the press, they're going to retort, come back at you.  That's their defense mode.  So we live that way.  Yeah, that's the business."

The article goes on making reference to a confrontation between Nixon and Dan Rather, during which Nixon asked Rather, "Are you running for office?" Cronkite jumped right in.

"Yeah, sure.  And Rather answers back: "No.  Are you?"  Yeah.  That is a little bit sharper than most television journalists would play a politician, an officeholder.  I think that that was a little disrespectful.  He's the president of the United States. ... That hit me the wrong way at that moment. ... I felt that Rather was lowering himself in doing that, in trying to bandy around with the president of the United States.  It seemed a little out of step."

Unfortunately, today the president of the United States is fair game to be publicly embarrassed and insulted by just about anyone, be it a biased or rude reporter, commentator, or a celebrity of some kind.  What these individuals, doing so, do not realize that if we at home do not respect the office of the president of the United States, how can other nations do any different?  In fairness, our current president invites this kind of behavior by using the Twitter platform and political rallies to make unpresidential comments about others.  However, two wrongs do not make a right.  When somebody rolls in the mud, it does not mean one has to join in; whoever does so only lowers himself/herself.

It is very sad that civility in the public arena appears to be dead, at least in our country; it's return is very doubtful.
