ISRAEL HAS NO LEGAL RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF AGAINST PALESTINE ... APPARENTLY!

The right to self-defense relies on the fact that an attack from an external source has occurred.  In the case of Palestine, which is fully occupied and controlled by Israel, the attack did not come from an external source but from within the territory, entirely under the control of Israel.  Israel is the occupier and the Palestinians are the occupied.  In short, Palestine is the victim of this occupation.  Accordingly, Palestinians have a legal right to retaliate against the 'Occupier', and not the other way around.

"International Court of Justice finds Israeli barrier in Palestinian territory is illegal"

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an advisory opinion today that Israel's building of a barrier in the occupied Palestinian territory is illegal and said construction must stop immediately and Israel should make reparations for any damage caused."

"The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an advisory opinion today that Israel's building of a barrier in the occupied Palestinian territory is illegal and said construction must stop immediately and Israel should make reparations for any damage caused.

Responding to a request from the United Nations General Assembly, the World Court's opinion said the Assembly and the Security Council should consider what steps to take "to bring to an end the illegal situation resulting from the construction of the wall and the associated rĂ©gime, taking due account of the present Advisory Opinion.”

By a majority of 14 to 1, the judges found that the barrier's construction breaches international law, saying it violated principles outlined in the UN Charter and long-standing global conventions that prohibit the threat or use of force and the acquisition of territory that way, as well as principles upholding the right of peoples to self-determination.

Observing that 80 per cent of Israeli settlers in the occupied Palestinian territory now live between the barrier and the so-called Green Line marking the 1949 boundary of Israel, the Court said the structure's route could "prejudge the future frontier between Israel and Palestine.""  Emphasis added.

"The ICJ – the UN’s principal judicial organ – said construction "would be tantamount to de facto annexation" as it explained that the barrier could create a potentially permanent "fait accompli" on the ground."

"The judges noted that, combined with the Israeli settlements, which have been deplored by the Security Council, the barrier's construction alters the demographic composition of the occupied Palestinian territory and impedes the Palestinians' right to self-determination."

"Concluding that Israel could not rely on a right of self-defence or on a state of necessity to justify the  barrier, the Court said it was not convinced the specific route chosen was necessary for security reasons. " Emphasis added.

"The judges also said Israel is obliged to stop construction immediately and dismantle the sections of the barrier that have already been built. They added that Israel must nullify any laws relating to its construction and make reparations for any damage caused by its erection.

Voting 13-2, the judges found that all States should not "recognize the illegal situation resulting from the construction of the wall" and not give any aid or assistance in maintaining the situation."  Emphasis added.

Smoke rises after an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City, Gaza

"What are some other laws that Israel has potentially violated?"

"Israel has also been accused of using white phosphorus, which could trigger fires as well as lead to severe, potentially fatal burns. Firing white phosphorus is akin to an indiscriminate attack, according to Amnesty International, which affects civilians and military targets alike and hence is prohibited under international law."

"IHL makes it clear that parties to a conflict “may not order the displacement of the civilian population, in whole or part” except if military reasons demand or if their security is involved."

"On October 13, Israel ordered more than 1 million Palestinians in northern Gaza to evacuate and move to the besieged enclave’s south despite the UN warning that Gaza faced a “real catastrophe” due to such an order. Israel has justified this order by saying it was aimed at limiting civilian casualties during its military operation in northern Gaza."

"IHL also lays out that all parties in a conflict must ensure that humanitarian relief operations are allowed and facilitated “unimpeded”. However, Israel had refused to allow essential aid into Gaza despite widespread warnings of a humanitarian crisis."

"Israel’s decision to impose a “complete siege” of Gaza’s power, food and water supplies has also been widely criticised for triggering a humanitarian crisis as thousands of Palestinians face “death by starvation”, according to the ActionAid charity. Humanitarian law prohibits the use of starvation of the civilian population “as a method of warfare”."  Emphasis added.

Note: Palestinians were told to move to the south for their security, only to be attacked again, as they were in the North.

“The complete siege now lasting over one month has made it an agony for residents in Gaza to find basic necessities and frankly to survive,” Turk said last week, adding that “all forms of collective punishment must come to an end”.

"While lawyers and experts have pointed to likely violations by Israel and Hamas of international law and international humanitarian law in particular, that might not ensure legal action against them."

"Experts point to the lack of action against Israel for its 2008 assault on Gaza, named Operation Cast Lead, during which Israel was accused of war crimes. The 22-day Israeli offensive killed 1,400 Palestinians. At least 13 Israelis were killed in retaliatory rocket attacks by Palestinian armed groups."

“Historical precedents, such as the inquiries following Operation Cast Lead and others, show that while investigations into Israeli actions in Gaza have occurred, they often have not led to significant preventative measures or accountability,” Overton said."

"In the current conflict, the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory had announced on October 10 that there was “clear evidence of war crimes” from both sides and added that it had been “collecting and preserving evidence of war crimes” because it is “intent on ensuring legal accountability, including individual criminal and command responsibility”."

“The killing of so many civilians cannot be dismissed as collateral damage. Not in a kibbutz. Not in a refugee camp. And not in a hospital,” the UN human rights chief said."

"At least three Palestinian rights groups have filed a lawsuit with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israel during the ongoing war. And this week, French lawyer Gilles Devers submitted a complaint to the prosecutor at the ICC on behalf of Gaza victims."

"A US-based civil rights group, the Center for Constitutional Rights, has also sued Biden and senior members of his cabinet for “complicity” in the “unfolding genocide”."

As a ten-year-old boy, living in Munich-Germany near the end of WWII, in winter, the writer saw Russian POW, in an open-air prison treated better than civilians in Gaza.  The German military left them dressed with the rags they wore; nobody was near naked.  The writer and other children collected stale bread from the neighbors, which they carried daily along with a metal bucket of hot tea, which they passed through a chain-link fence, to the prisoners.  Nobody stopped us from doing so.  No-one had enough to eat; yet people had compassion for these men, held prisoner.

THE FAITH OF ISLAM SURVIVES EVEN THE UNJUST DEATH OF LOVED ONES ... IT APPEARS

Historians write about how the Jewish people (not Zionists) prospered under the Ottoman Empire, that is under Islam, when no nation wanted them.

In the below video link, the famous historian Adnan Rashid, is asked about the history of Israel and Palestine."  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcTH_Ym1tYI

Personally, I found the video very interesting, and you might have the same opinion, after watching it.

Just like the Christian Bible has undergone some changes by authorities, of the time, so surely has the Torah no doubt, when it reflects self-serving stories of genocide, for example.

" Netanyahu also quoted from Deuteronomy 25:17, saying, "remember what Amalek did to you," in reference to the Jewish exodus from Egypt. He added: "We remember, and we fight."Oct 30, 2023

“This is what the Lord Almighty says,” the prophet Samuel tells Saul. “‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

A loving and merciful God would never order a genocide of one of his creations, would he?

    CAN YOU CALL THEM ANTISEMITIC?

“Jewish group rises above noise to voice solidarity with Palestine”

    https://www.dailysabah.com/world/mid-east/jewish-group-rises-above-noise-to-voice-solidarity-with-palestine

The Orthodox Jews also known as ‘Jews against Zionism’, openly oppose what is going on in Gaza.  These Jews live by the word of God, they believe that when God commanded them, “Thou shall not kill”, God was very serious, at the time, of his edict.

     https://www.dailysabah.com/world/mid-east/jewish-group-rises-above-noise-to-voice-solidarity-with-palestine

"As Israel continues to exact revenge for Hamas’s Oct. 7 incursion by killing over 20,000 Gazans, the Jewish state and its military continue to find support among a majority of its population."

"Over 65% of Israelis supported a ground offensive in the besieged Palestinian territory, while nearly 57% thought the amount of firepower used in Gaza was “too little,” according to two different polls conducted by the Maariv newspaper and the Tel Aviv University, respectively."

The above statistics are most likely correct because most of the Jews moving to Israel, apparently, had only one goal, namely to steal the land and homes from Palestinians, pure and simple.  They mistakenly believe that these acts are sanctioned by God.  The self-serving Zionist Propaganda, in contradiction of the Torah, convinced these  early migrants/settlers and their descendants that this massive deft was and is God's will.

From the very early age, children are instructed about the ten commandments, God gave to Moses.  It would be very difficult, if not impossible for anyone pleading total ignorance about them.  Yet these Zionists/Settlers have no problem misreading this simple text, to suit their purpose.

"However, one Jewish group has firmly aligned itself with the Palestinian cause, calling for an immediate end to the violence in Gaza and opposing Israeli actions in general across Palestinian territories.

“Our Jewish identity demands, requires, obligates to be in solidarity with the Palestinian cause,” said Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, a spokesperson for the anti-Zionist Jewish group, Neturei Karta."

"Despite being a minority among Haredi Jews, often referred to as Orthodox Jews, the nearly century-old Neturei Karta has had, over the years, a small albeit vocal presence at pro-Palestinian rallies across the world, and particularly in the United States."

"While pro-Palestinian camps have embraced Neturei Karta members for their activism, other Jewish and Zionist groups in Israel and beyond have targeted them."

WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE ISSUES?

A recent Fox Poll is quite revealing, in fact, it kind of explains why the US is so divided, on a number of key issues. All but the Economy align pretty much along the political divide.  The Economy shows a weak agreement within the two political classes.  The bottom-line is, there is insufficient agreement within the country to provide a unified position, to demand more attention, by the Government, to rectify any given concern, other than the economy.

Place yourself into the shoes of your friendly Government.  Why would you be compelled to care about any issue, including the economy (inflation, for example), when the people send you such week signals?  You most likely would go back to business as usual, and wait for a stronger signal from the people, before getting off the couch, so to speak.

THE COST OF FEEDING A PAPER TIGER: THE UNITED NATIONS

The UN was founded in 1945, replacing another useless organization, THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS.  The official UN budget for 2023 was set at $6.1.Billion.  "Fifth Committee Approves $6.1 Billion Budget for 9 Active Peacekeeping Operations, Averting Shutdown, as It Concludes Second Resumed Session"  It would not be a big jump to assume that significant other costs are involved as well.  https://press.un.org/en/2023/gaab4423.doc.htm

Surely, somewhere in the Sea of Waste, there must be a few worthwhile projects, providing humanitarian services to people in need.  However, the costs of which are grossly inflated by the many ineffective activities undertaken by the organization, as a whole.

To start, the charter gives the founding nations, the power of veto in the Security Council; this alone makes the UN an undemocratic organization.  In fact, it is the root cause of its ineffectiveness.  For example, it allows the US to shield Israel in their activities aiming to wipe out an entire nation, it appears.  Other super powers used their privilege of veto to serve their individual needs, rather than the needs of the UN.

The current conflict in Gaza is prima facie evidence that the UN is entirely useless when it comes to saving lives of the innocents.  Why should it take over 18,000 deaths of civilians, and still no cessation of the indiscriminate slaughter?  Why spend so much money for zero effectiveness, when it really counts?  At one time there was a consensus that the League of Nations was useless, the same applies now to the current United Nations.  Rather than being useful and effective, it sucks valuable resources from the world, to feed its bureaucratic cancer.  In addition, it removes talented people from real economic and humanitarian activities, serving mankind.

    SPEAKING OF ANIMALS

"Israeli soldier makes video vandalising Palestinian shop in Gaza"

"An Israeli soldier has made a video that shows him vandalising a Palestinian-owned shop in Gaza and mocking its contents."

    https://www.aljazeera.com/program/newsfeed/2023/12/11/israeli-soldier-makes-video-vandalising-palestinian-shop-in-gaza

We heard and read about, how Israelis feel and think about Palestinians, as animals.  The video link above shows worse than animal behavior.  An animal, like a Bear, for example, would create as much damage; however, the animal would not do it for spite but in the course of looking for food.
