CONTRARY TO COMMON MEDICAL WISDOM EVEN CKD INFLICTED KIDNEYS CAN COME BACK FROM GFR ZERO CONDITION.

What is CKD (Cystic Kidney Decease)? This problem is inherited from one of our parents. Phrenologists and Urologists admit freely that there is damn little they can do to make changes for the better.  However, is this really true?  About two months ago my CKD kidneys exhibited a Zero GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) test result at the hospital, just before I was discharged.  Not good news for sure.

The day after my discharge, my wife and I designed and agreed upon a diet, for me that would burden my Kidneys the least, keeping both Potassium and Phosphorus in control. It consisted of soups made from Lentils and 'Chicken Bone Broth'.  Nothing else was allowed.  Yesterday I gave blood for testing my GFR, Potassium, Phosphorus, and CRP (picks up signal of infection), which was over 300 at the time of my Hospital discharge.

Test Results:

Potassium  4.3 (range is 3.5-5.50)

Phosporus  2.3 (    "    is 2.3-4)

CRP 23.4        (     "    is 0-6), doctors worry at >100.

Creatine 2.18  (     "   is 0.6-1.3)

GFR 25.5       (     "   is 60-120), this from zero function!!!

I have records on spreadsheets showing when my GFR improved over a number of years at each test, without any strict diet.  The result above is extremely exiting because it was our designed strict diet that achieved similar.  Moreover, we kept the vital other elements in control, especially Potassium.

Epilogue

The whole idea is to stress the Kidneys as little as possible for at least two months.  Therefore, meals (soups) are only 8 oz. in size, about the size of a coffee mug, every 2 hours, starting, lets say from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.  This program also ensures adequate fluid intake.  I gained a little weight, which in my case is great.

My blood pressure is now under control without my medication!

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL MY DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL READERS!

It was to be a long summer vacation in Turkey nothing out of the ordinary, simply relaxing, sitting in one of the many Coffee Shops along the promenade hugging Konyaalti Beaches in Antalya.  Little did I expect to spend ten days in two different Hospitals fighting, what seems to be a phantom serious infection, somewhere in my body.  The doctors never found the source for it, however, they brought the infection factor, down to an acceptable level, at the cost of my kidneys which were not happy with all this Antibiotic warfare.  I was discharged based on the lower infection factor (CRP).

It didn't take long to reveal itself.  Within 3 days of my hospital release, each bowel movement produced serious amounts of blood, not the red kind. A long fan of Ivermectin (IVM), I always carry it with me, just like Asperines.  I started taking one IVM daily, and within three days of use, all bleeding stopped.  One month later I am living with my GFR (filtration rate) at zero, eating a liquid diet of soups (Lentil mostly), to keep my Urine as clear as possible.  I am actually gaining a little weight.  After losing 20kg gaining weight is paramount.

Why all this waiting time to find out the real cause?  In my condition I cannot seat all these many hours in an airplane seat.  Business class is very expensive.  I am happy to say that after jumping through a few more Hoops; I will fly back to Las Vegas, where I will check into a hospital.

Soon we will reach 100,000 reads!
