THE WESTERN MANTRA OF "ISRAEL HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF" IS IN FACT UTTER B.S. ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL LAW

We hear from Governments around the world, and their politicians, over and over the spin that "ISRAEL HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF."  According to international law, it has not this right, as explained below.

In fact, Israel has de facto annexed the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.  In so doing, they control the lives of the Palestinians in every aspect for a very, very long time.  The only difference is that this situation mirrors also an "Apartheid State."

VP Harris and President Biden, uttering the Mantra, "ISRAEL HAS A RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF."and so say many others.   Both know better having a legal background.

Hearing this falsehood constantly can be irritating, or kind of sickening.  This falsehood is spun by educated people, who know it is not true, yet are trying to follow a liar's axiom, if a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes the truth.

The following is quoted from a previous post on my Blog.

"The right to self-defense relies on the fact that an attack from an external source has occurred.  In the case of Palestine, which is fully occupied and controlled by Israel, the attack did not come from an external source but from within the territory, entirely under the control of Israel.  Israel is the occupier and the Palestinians are the occupied.  In short, Palestine is the victim of this occupation.  Accordingly, Palestinians have a legal right to retaliate against the 'Occupier', and not the other way around."

In a recent ruling the ICJ said as much.

"The ICJ – the UN’s principal judicial organ – said construction "would be tantamount to de facto annexation" as it explained that the barrier could create a potentially permanent "fait accompli" on the ground."

"Concluding that Israel could not rely on a right of self-defence or on a state of necessity to justify the  barrier, the Court said it was not convinced the specific route chosen was necessary for security reasons. " Emphasis added.

"Does Israel have the right to self-defence in Gaza?"

"Many experts believe Israel’s case is weak because Gaza has in effect been under Israeli control."

To claim self-defense an attack must come from an external source or country, no other circumstance will do!  The IDF was and is a constant force inside Gaza, for example, and therefore could have prevented October 7th.  However, Israel, apparently, needed a Pearl Harbor situation, to carry out their plans, and Hamas obliged.
