Enablers Of Price Gougers

Companies like Amazon, eBay, and others, are the perfect Platform for price gougers, as the images clearly demonstrate.  One of other companies, shown below, reflects a reasonable price for the 3M N-95 Respirators but is out of stock but they help to show us what the prices were before the Corona Virus outbreak.  There is no doubt, these platforms benefit from price gouging because their fees are greater with these inflated prices.

Price is $43.06

Price is $15.75

"Price gouging occurs when a seller increases the prices of goods, services or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair. Usually, this event occurs after a demand or supply shock. Common examples include price increases of basic necessities after hurricanes or other natural disasters. In precise, legal usage, it is the name of a crime that applies in some jurisdictions of the United States during civil emergencies. In less precise usage, it can refer either to prices obtained by practices inconsistent with a competitive free market or to windfall profits. Price gouging may be considered exploitative and unethical.

As a criminal offense, Florida's "state of emergency" law[2] is an example. Price gouging may be charged when a supplier of essential goods or services sharply raises the prices asked in anticipation of or during a civil emergency or when it cancels or dishonors contracts in order to take advantage of an increase in prices related to such an emergency. The model case is a retailer who increases the price of existing stocks of milk and bread when a hurricane is imminent.

United States. In the United States, state laws against price gouging have been held as constitutional at the state level as a valid exercise of the police power to preserve order during an emergency, and may be combined with anti-hoarding measures."

So far, to my knowledge, the US Government has not provided an easy way to report price gouging; I know at the local level it is very cumbersome for the ordinary citizen.

Please share your experience under the Comment Section; if sufficient comments are posted, I will forward this post to the office of the President, as I have in the past, on other occasions.  They have reacted in the past.

Double Virus Threat Revelation

Dr. John Day, M.D. tells Congress
Woman Tulsi Gabbard that we'll need 6 billion doses of chloroquine to treat coronavirus in the US.

Dr. John Day, M. D. reports about the recent revelation regarding the newer "L" strain explosion in Wuhan, China, as follows:
The new coronavirus information yesterday was that there are 2 strains, with different fatality rates. The original "S" strain continues to spread through China, where the data was collected, and causes fewer fatalities. It is less aggressive of a pathogen. The newer "L" strain exploded in Wuhan, and appears to have been responsible for most of the deaths there. Of course we still don't know the real numbers, but most estimates are vastly higher than official numbers, and based on cremation rates.

These 2 strains are significantly different, and the rapidity of the arising of the very differently mutated L strain suggests that it entered the ongoing epidemic in Wuhan, and transformed it into a horror-show. The Chinese authorities may have been acting upon the milder illness of the first S strain wave for their early decisions, leading into Chinese New Year. Of course I wonder what strains are circulating where in our world, but I also really wonder where that deadly L coronavirus strain came from.

The question of how this lab virus got into human circulation is still unsettled in public discourse. I do not believe pangolins got it from bats. This new information again brings up the question of "accident" or "attack" and it is now a 2-pronged question.  Whether the initial novel coronavirus S type was accidental or offensive, I really must favor the second L type coronavirus being an offensive attack. The killer wave came at a particularly vulnerable moment, with China having set the defensive response way too low. The aggressor could be assured of deeper penetration and more damage, once the defense was set as mainly-propaganda.

How may China respond? To whom might China respond in kind?

(The article below carries on with the approved narrative that these strains are naturally occurring, but points out that "neutral site" mutations diverge by 17%, a vast divergence in regions of the genome, which are not subject to evolutionary selection pressure as viruses multiply and spread. This excludes a natural series of mutations as cause.)

Population genetic analyses of 103 SARS-CoV-2 genomes indicated that these viruses evolved into two major types (designated L and S), that are well defined by two different SNPs that show nearly complete linkage across the viral strains sequenced to date. Although the L type (∼70%) is more prevalent than the S type (∼30%), the S type was found to be the ancestral version. Whereas the L type was more prevalent in the early stages of the outbreak in Wuhan, the frequency of the L type decreased after early January 2020. Human intervention may have placed more severe selective pressure on the L type, which might be more aggressive and spread more quickly.

I  often refer to Dr. John in this Blog, and I thought it is about time to let you all know who he really is.  In my almost 85 years I have been looked after by many doctors but only three of those I considered to be a Doctor's Doctor, and Dr. John Day is one of them.  As the picture shows, when Dr. John Day talks people pay attention.

The Prohibition Against Chemical And Biological Weapons

I offer the following as food for thought, and my comments are purely an expression of my opinion, based on what is readily available in the media and on the Internet.

Despite the "Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction, London, Moscow and Washington, 10 April 1972, United Nations, Treaty Series, vol. 1015, p. 163."  Practically all major nations maintain Laboratories, developing toxic agents and live destroying Pathogens.

Even the development of such weapons is prohibited, and yet their production is ongoing.  Why else have these highly secretive Labs, in the first place (see video and other links below).  Just because these developed pathogens are, supposedly, secured does not make their development and possession lawful.  We all know of stories where some of these dangerous pathogens were simply stored in cardboard boxes under some lab tables, instead of being locked up.  In a number of instances serious life-threatening pathogens were accidentally released into the atmosphere infecting and killing innocent people, and livestock.

There is of-course much more reading and watching available, and the foregoing links are just a sample of what is out there.  The history of chemical/gas usage during conflicts goes back a while.
https://www.sciencehistory.org/distillations/a-brief-history-of-chemical-war

The use of Pathogens is now the new wave of criminality, employed worldwide.  If things go wrong, or if field testing is the purpose of release, mother nature takes the blame for the damage done.  It is near impossible to hold the guilty responsible, and it is doubtful that anybody would seriously do something about it, other than talk.  In the present instance, some Chinese food vendor was blamed for the outbreak.  The fact that a chemical weapons lab is in very close proximity of the food market, had nothing to do with it, so the story goes.

"The misuse of science or of scientific achievements to create weapons that poison and spread disease has always provoked alarm and abhorrence in the public mind. The [International Committee of the Red Cross] ICRC summed up the public horror at the use of such weapons in its appeal in February 1918, calling them "barbarous inventions" that can "only be called criminal". For centuries there have been taboos against such weapons, but the use of poisonous gas in World War I led to the first international agreement – the 1925 Geneva Protocol – banning asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases and bacteriological methods of warfare."  Emphasis added.

This clearly appears to demonstrate that the peoples of this world are governed by a bunch of individuals of low morals and character, aided by callous Scientists.  We, the people, complain and, on occasions, demonstrate about this or the other issue but few, apparently, shout to the heavens about these planned and/or executed crimes, by the use of lethal pathogens, against humanity.

This major virus assault on the populations of this planet appears to go the way some control forest fires go, out of control.  In my humble opinion, no callous scientist would work on a deadly pathogen without having the cure in his or her lab safe.  If this is indeed a developed virus, then logic says somebody has a cure/vaccine for it, which will be very expensive, and above all, a fantastic moneymaker for many.

Some Scientists Work Hard For Eliminating The Human Species

The following link, shown below, was send to me by Dr. John, via a Mr. Joe.

The end of time will most likely be orchestrated not by God but by willful acts of men.  Between the awesome power of Nuclear weapons and the insidious power of Chemistry, combined have the ability to wipe out, just about, all homo-sapiens (humans) on this planet.

History has shown that whenever men manage to create a weapon of mass destruction, sooner or later it has to be tested, to see its effectiveness.  This is just the way it is; lab tests are fine but until it is tested on a large scale, one can never be sure of its destructive power.  During WW II, men tested the power of the Atom-Bomb, to the great satisfaction of all interested parties.

With an accidental or designed release of live threatening viruses (pathogens), the creators and their masters, can assess the degree of efficacy of their creations.  This latest outbreak of a Corona Virus, no doubt, can be called a scientific success because its efficiency of infecting a vast number of people, in a very short time, is amazing, to say the least.  Air travel automatically ensures worldwide distribution.  If one has the cure for it, it can determine the last man standing, so to speak.

Francis Boyle drafted the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, and is very aware of what is going on, in this field.

When reading Dr. John's writings, I learned that it might be a good idea to take daily 10,000 units of vitamin D3 for one month, and then 5,000 units of it daily forever.  Remember, one ounce of prevention is better than one pound of cure.  One might still become infected, however, the outcome may be different.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT CONFLICTS

If one is old enough to remember the product quality of the past, one will most likely lament about the lack of quality of most products now offered in the market place.  One may wonder why with all the propaganda ads flashed everywhere, shouting how great their products are, one can't find very little that compares with the good quality of days gone bye?

The Buzz phrase 'Continuous Improvement' does not mean the same to everybody.  Are we talking about continuous quality improvement or continuous profit improvement? These two ideas are in constant conflict; profit improvement, most of the time, spells less product quality. Experience tells us that quality lost against profit, and we the consumers go along with this twisted situation, instead of insisting on quality products, the result of continuous quality improvement.

Naturally, the younger generation is at a disadvantage because they have no idea what good quality used to be, i.e. really is.  For example, major department stores used to carry pretty descent leather shoes, at fair prices, now these stores, in the main, carry shoes with all man-made materials, which most likely make your feet sweat and smell.

If these inferior products, made with inferior materials, would be significantly cheaper, then one could say the buyer has a choice, buy good quality for more or inferior quality for less, however, these inferior products demand about the same price, or more, as good products used to cost.  This in part explains why so many new Billionaires are made every year; their substandard products (or services) are way over-priced and thus generate enormous profits.  To add insult to injury, since these inferior products don't last as long as good quality products, their short-term repeat business is assured, enhancing their profit picture even more.

By dealing with a new inexperienced consumer generation, every 20 years, these merchants (manufacturers and sellers) of substandard products succeeded with their 'Continuous  Profit Improvement' scheme, by trashing the quality of their products.  These disingenuous merchants now prey on an unsuspecting new consumer, who has been convinced, through clever marketing, of the new normal.  Let us just look at their product warranties, If one gets a one (1) year written Warranty, one can thank our maker; the manufacturers fully know that is about the time their product, generally, will last.

How can we get back to good quality products?  First, we must ignore all the hype about a product.  Second, we must use common sense to judge whether it is worth the money.  Third, we must evaluate if we truly need the product.  Whenever, some new product makes people stand for hours inline for it, you can be sure the item is way overpriced, there usually is a less expensive alternate product in the marketplace.  For example, Amazon has some Tablets at much lower prices that may work for you; I know I have two in my home.

When consumers shop with more discrimination, and reject inferior products, the merchants with poor quality products will have less business volume, which will force them to examine the causes for it.   They then have to make a choice, lower their price, or improve the product quality, while maintaining the current price level.  Either way, the consumer stands to win; we have the power, we truly could be the King, and add truth to the slogan, "The customer Is King".
