Social Concerns

Social and environmental issues, affecting the USA and the world around us, which also impacts us, are our concerns. In 2011 we prevented a 'Waste Processing Facility/Incinerator' from being built upwind and 700 yards or less from Ainakea (Hawaii) homes in favor of the residents involved. "Ex-Israeli war chief confirms issuing Hannibal Directive to kill own civilians, soldiers on 7 Oct"

Within a few days many surmised that the majority of soldiers and civilians killed October 7th, were killed by the Israeli Defense Forces, IDF.  Hamas' goal was to take as many hostages as possible.  Death Israelis would not achieve this goal.  Hamas may have killed a few in the rush, however, logic says they were after live hostages, not dead ones.

Israeli forces used attack helicopters, drones, and tanks to kill their own civilians and soldiers while blaming the deaths on Hamas.

It is astounding that domestic and international news outlets hardly ever mention this fact about the IDF's Hannibal directive, they simply accuse Hamas for all the deaths experienced that day, over and over.

"Former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant has acknowledged ordering the army to use the Hannibal Directive to kill Israeli civilians and soldiers during the Hamas attack on 7 October 2023.

During an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 on 7 February, Gallant admitted to ordering the controversial protocol that involves killing captives along with their captors.

When asked whether an order was given to implement the Hannibal Directive, Gallant responded:

“I think that, tactically, in some places, it was given, and in other places, it was not given, and that is a problem.”"

About Me

My photo
FrankJM
My wife and I planted our roots in Ainakea, on the Big Island, in 1989. We chose Ainakea because it is located in, what we think, the prettiest area of the Island. The air is clean, the neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly. In 2016 we moved back to the mainland, with good memories of the Island. October 2020 was the 10th Anniversary of this Blog, which began in Hawaii.
