During WW II all the conventions, formulated in 1949, shown below were violated, hence the need for universal agreements of civility even during conflicts.

In Israel's case, it appears that international laws do not apply to their violations of of human rights and decency, Geneva Conventions, as well as UN resolutions. The fact that some nations turn a blind eye to all of their gruel actions, is alarming. Moreover, the fact that some of these nations actually provide weapons, to ensure the utter destruction of civilian lives and properties of the occupied, is more than disgusting.

- Care for the wounded, sick and shipwrecked during war at sea.
- Treat prisoners of war with humanity.

Hi John, here is the issue. What you have said can be inverted. With the exception of magnitude. Answer this, why are the other Arab states not mediating the area. It's easy to sit in an arm chair, but if someone shoots or rapes your family you may over react.
ReplyDeleteThe fact remains that Hamas attacked civilians in Israel and knew what would happen. Hamas has orchestrated this and it seems some have fallen for the ruse. That all said the region needs cool heads from the region not the west.
A story about. Israeli babies having been beheaded is going around, even Trump repeats it at every opportunity. The Israeli Government admitted that they found no evidence to support this.
DeleteAn old woman recently released stated that she was well treated by Hamas. This was before the Government could control her statements.
A recent post on this Blog talks about the danger of AI producing fake videos, etc. This particular story is obviously a product of AI, it appears.
